Jam Version Update (v.0.9e JAM)


Here I bring you some changes that I hope wil make the game better!

Graphics:

  • New graphics for sheep and wolf faces when you pick them up. Sheep now look distressed (they know they’re about to be thrown), and wolves’ eyes shine with the desire to end up inside a pen.
  • You can see a one pixel change in the GBCompo2025 bootscreen animation.
  • There's a small change in the throwing animation for the player sprite. Moved a few pixels.
  • Transitions between credit pages are now instant. In the first versions of the game, this was already a thing, but i had to change it. Why? Because there was a lot of graphic garbage appearing on screen. I found out you can use a common tileset to fix that. 
  • I optimized some sprite and tile arrangements! This slightly reduced the game’s size and improved performance (though the game was already running smoothly so you may not notice).

Sound:

  • The “baaa” sound effect (when you pick up a sheep) no longer interrupts the music. At first, with Beatscribe’s help, we tried making a new version of the SFX that used a different sound channel. And it worked… but then weird noises popped up whenever other sounds played at the same time. So I flipped the approach: instead of changing the sound effect’s channel, I changed the music’s channels! Using MilkyTracker, I swapped track 1 and track 2 in TipTopTomCat’s music… and voilà! (or may I say "Baaa-là")
  •  Timed Mode now features different song tempos for different difficulties. There's a slowed-down version for Easy, and a sped-up one for Hard. Normal difficulty remains the same. These tracks already appeared in Endless Mode depending on your current score, so it was an easy shot!
